National Design Week!

Well, we're a few days into it, but it's not too late to appreciate National Design Week. Through Sunday, the Cooper-Hewitt Museum is offering free admission as part of it's Design Week initiative. Do it! Colleen and I love going there, not only because it's a damn beautiful building and they have great shows, but also because it's a completely digestible size. No museum fatigue! Instead, we always leave awake and inspired. A while back we checked out the current show, their triennial called Why Design Now? It's got a ton of cool stuff, including some amazing work out of the Netherlands, a few ingenious ways to generate electricity, and a shockingly clever re-use of a bicycle. If you go, relax with a coffee in the garden for the full effect.
