We teamed up with bioengineer/scientist Loe Hubbard and musician/sound designer to create Bonus Table 571 for ReclaimNYC's x2 show. We had a blast collaborating with these guys! Reclaim x2 is officially open and all items are being sold to benefit the Brooklyn Community Foundation here.
Eric and I are part of Reclaim NYCs show happening during NYC x Design Week. Reclaim came up with the best show concept - Collaboration! We are collaborating with Loe Hubbard, super scientist and Ben Cameron, composer extraordinaire to make a truly one of a kind piece. Here's a sneak peak of the project. We are playing with resonance testing, sound makes the best patterns.
Our project Hold On Tight is included in Museo Poldi Pezzoli exhibit "Around The Book" during the Milan Furniture Fair. We are so excited to have been included. Thanks to Federica Manoli and Ilaria Prato for inviting us to participate. Our first time exhibiting in Milan during the fair - wish we could be there!
We made it into the top 6 finalists in the New York's Top Makers Competition. This means we'll have 5 months to work out the details of bringing BonusTable to production! Thanks you so much for any and all support!
Excited to have a project in Amy Azzarito's new book, Past & Present. Amy based the book around 24 of her favorite moments in decorative arts, wrote essays on each, and invited creative folks to design DIY projects inspired by the movements. We were so excited when Amy invited us to create a project based on the Wiener Werkstätte movement. (And check out us/our pad in the trailer!)
Hope you enjoyed the new GIF splash page - we enjoyed creating it! Grand Tambour is our newest project, a custom piece, which might inspire a new tab on the site. Should be fully featured this week.
